my good friend katie was here for christmas with her two boys (one being belas future husband if we have any say in it) for about two weeks. we had so much fun with and without kidlets. i cant even go into it all right now because i am still getting over her leaving.

also my sister and her family were here for the weekend before christmas. that was awesome and bela of course enojoyed having her cousins here. we did a faux xmas morning on saturday and about halfway through presents (tons and tons of presents!) she just kinda stopped and played with what she had and i finished for her. for the following 3 days she opened present in some capacity and on the fouth she woke up asking for more.

brett, bela and i spent christmas morning together at home. brett did an amazing job of shopping for presents! she is now the proud owner of a sit and spin (way fancier than the one you had as a kid) and a purple elephant rocking horse thingy.

on christmas eve bela was a bit sick and threw up a few times. she was done with that by the morning, but still not herself.

thanks to santa and everyone for all the great stuff!! we are now reevaluating our living room space and thinking of what we can move to belas room.

doctor doctor

yesterday bela had her 2 year doctors appointment. she now weighs 23.3 pounds, only at 7th percentile, but she eats like a horse so i suppose there isnt much we can do! when the dcotor came in and asked her how she was doing, she responded "awesome!". when the nurse came in to give her a shot, she was lying on her back on the table waiting patiently. when the nurse was ready, i asked bela if she wanted to see and she propped up on her elbows. she watched (just like mama!) and didnt cry or even flinch! such a big girl. we have been reading an elmo book for the past week about going for a check up, maybe it actually helped!

bela is currently obsessed with santa, but only from afar. if he is on tv she gets really excited and has to make sure that i know who he is. she likes to shout across the room to him and wave, but dont dare put her on his lap or ask her to touch him. hopefully she gets over this before we take her to see him at the mall!! enjoy some pics.

tonight brett and i are meeting up with andy and taking bela to the light up lakewood festival! I am really looking forward to it and hope that it doesnt rain. i dont mind the cold and even a little snow, but rain would ruin everything. santa will be there and bela is finally getting into the idea of him. this morning i asked her who santa was and she replied "presents". my camera is charging as we speak so i will be sure to put up some pics!!
