only a week late

here are some pictures from our trip to cinci. we went down for the marathon and bela entered the "piglet fun run". it was so super rainy and we were soaked, but as soon as the races started it turned into a beautiful day. yes, she fell on her face and yes she (and i) were totally heartbroken, but all was forgotten. you will see the picture of bela and franka on the starting line and then franka running like the wind while bela is face first on the grass. poor bela!!
also the smallest tshirt that was available was huge on bela! we had a great time and i really enjoyed all the quality family time. and good sister cookin!! i will hopefully be adding more cinci pics as soon as paul sends them to me.

diego and the rainforest

on saturday bela and i went to see diego live at the palace theater! thanks to brittany for hooking us up with the tickets! bela loved the show, of course, and was so good through the whole thing. she was dancing in the aisle with some other kids and just totally amazed that she was in the same room as diego and dora. the whole experience was just so cool for me since she had such a good time.we were not allowed to take pictures during the show though, which kinda sucked.



on sunday we went to the rainforest at the zoo and i took some cute pictures of bela outside. all around a good weekend.

its nearly may and bela had to wear a winter hat this morning.

first haircut!

of course i couldnt get a perfect picture of her but
you get the idea. she was pretty wiggly for the cut but it was also
about 6:30 by the time she got in the chair. she looks so darn cute
with a clean bob rather than the mess shewouldnt let me brush most days.

what to say

this bela girl is full of personality and her own ideas for sure. prime examples, both from last night. we were in the car on the way to mcdonalds to meet meg and bri for nuggets and playtime. bela asked where we were going, i told her and she said "play outside mama" i responded that we were going to play inside today. her response, "no mama i am sick of being inside". what!? no idea where she learned that. so later while playing on the slides and tunnels she came up to me and said "mama i take my pants off" and before i could even utter a word the pants were off and she was halfway across the room doing a little dance and saying "naked, naked". i had to corner her and tell her that we would have to go home right away if she couldnt follow the pants in public rule.

this kid had a mind of her own and she is full of sass. i love her to pieces.

back from disney

we got home last night from our disney vacation! i am kind of glad to be home, but wouldnt have minded staying a bit longer either. we stayed in a beautiful condo in disney and had access to all the parks. we went to all but epcot. bela
had a blast!! by the last morning she was asking for "magic kingdom"
and mickey non stop. i am too wiped out to type all kinds of details,
but here are a few pics to start.

three cousins, a snowy egg hunt and family good times.

hibachi

last night bela went out for dinner at a hibachi restaurant with my mom, dad, karen, karon and my aunt and uncle. she had a great time and thought the whole thing was fantastic. she was a good girl and sat in her booster the whole time just taking in the show.

will spring ever come?

ohio. snow. today it is supposed to be 50 degrees!! next thursday is the first official day of spring and i i dont think the heaps of snow in our yard will be gone by then. most likely there will be more on top of it. cleveland winters are brutal because they last from october through april. last year on easter we had a big snow storm and that makes easter egg hunts problematic. please let the snow melt by easter.
next week my sister is bringing her kids up to spend the week with my mom, i cant wait!!

people keep asking me "who is that cute baby?" its my bela!! teeny, tiny, five pound baby bela.

nap & play

as mentioned earlier, on saturday i told bela she could play out in the snow after her nap. so when i was having problems getting her to settle down or a nap, i told her that she had to take a nap or no playing in the snow. she immediately laid down and closed her eyes and slept for four hours. there was so much snow by that point though that her playing in the snow didnt last very long. luckily she is really light and didnt just sink into the snow, but we had about 14 inches.

from one blizzard into another

last weekend we were at my moms and bela got to play
in the snow for the first time. she loved it of course. today we are
stuck inside due to a huge blizzard that is said to last through the
night. first thing this morning, after i showedbela all the snow outside, she requested snow pants. so i promised that after naptime we will go out and play. more pics to come.
